Rest in the Lord

$14.99

All of us know what it is like when we do not get enough rest (sleep). We lose energy, strength, and motivation. It has an effect on our demeanor and we can easily find ourselves feeling irritable and even depressed. If we continue to function without enough rest, it will take its toll on us physically and mentally. Our Creator designed us to rest often. God certainly demonstrated this to us when God rested on the seventh day as we look at the creation account in Genesis. Jesus also gave us examples when he rested and prayed while living on this earth, and fulfilling the mission of His Father. Rest is vital in order prepare us and vitalize us as we go through our journey in life. We will encounter valleys and rough terrain—challenges, burdens, hardships—that will weigh us down and cause us to be weary and at times, utterly exhausted. The burden of sin will also press down upon us and enslave us. This is when Jesus says, ‘Come to me…and I will give you rest.” He is full of comfort, grace and hope.
