Identity Theft

$14.99

Matthew 3:13-17

It is a known fact that identity theft has increased exponentially in the US and abroad. Statistics reveal that over 15 million residents in the United States have their identities stolen each year with financial losses in the neighborhood of $50 billion dollars. This fact means that approximately 7% of all adults have experienced misuse of their identities with an average loss of $3.500 per adult. Identity theft may be the most costly and pervasive crime in the United States. With these facts in mind, every individual or business is certainly vulnerable to attacks when it comes to personal or corporate information. In baptism, we each have been claimed and named. Each of us is a beloved child of God—which is our identity—it is who and whose we are. Satan and the world are quick and cruel at times—attempting to steal that identity away. We must always remember that we each are named “Christian” and we are marked with the cross of Christ forever.
