Matthew 17:1-9
It was there all along. And on the mountaintop, Peter and James and John saw the Truth. Shining through the seams of Jesus humanity, bursting forth in glory that could not be contained, was the divine Light. Jesus was man and He was God. And beneath our crusty exterior, underneath our fallen nature, often hidden by our attempts at self-righteousness, the Light of Christ is shining. And on occasion, when were not in the way, we are transfigured, and others catch a glimpse of the glory that is within us.
