Mark 1:1-8
Mark reminded his readers that Isaiah had spoken of the coming of John the Baptist and Jesus Christ years before. Finally, the prophesy was fulfilled and the ministry of John the Baptist preparing the way for the Messiah unfolded. John baptized with water but explained that Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit. In this season of Advent, may the hope and excitement of Jesus Christ’s salvation and second coming fill your hearts as you lock your eyes on Him.
