Description
Isaiah 25:6-9
The message is as simple as it is dramatic. Jesus destroyed death. In His death our sins have been removed, and in His resurrection, we are given eternal life. Unfortunately, we still live as if death was real. We value things that are ultimately worthless. We fear things that cannot hurt us. We act as if we have been defeated. Hear the message today. God has triumphed and has given us the victory. Nothing can stop us. Not even death.

Opening Prayer
Pastor Almighty God, Eternal Father, You gave Your only Son to die for us, and You raised Him from the dead. Give to us the Spirit of Your risen Son, that we might live as those who are Your children – rejoicing in all things. Death has been destroyed. Life abounds. We celebrate today, and always, knowing that You have given us the victory in Jesus Christ, who died, and is alive forevermore. In Him, Who with You and the Holy Spirit reigns as one God, forever and ever.
ALL Amen.

We Hear God’s Word
First Reading: Isaiah 25:6-9
God destroys death. His people celebrate. .
6 “For on this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine— the best of meats and the finest of wines. 7 On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; 8 He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; He will remove His people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken. 9 In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us.
This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”
