Description
Luke 21:5-19
As the disciples were admiring the beautiful temple, Jesus reminded them that nothing in this world is eternal. He went on to explain the events that must occur before the ending took place. Deceivers, wars, catastrophes, signs from heaven, persecution, and division amongst families are all signs of the end times. But hope and eternal life is ours through Jesus Christ. As His followers, we must stand firm until the end.

Time of Confession and Forgiveness
[Alternate location: following Message]
Pastor / Worship Leader
Let us prepare our hearts by asking the Lord to wipe away our sin and cleanse us with His precious blood, for He is the only One who can forgive us and make us whole.
Worshipers
Jesus, we confess of the sin that entangles our hearts. We ask you to cut our sin ties and root down, around, and up the seeds of Your Holy word.
Pastor / Worship Leader
We ask that you would entangle us in Your truth, and that our foundation would be built on Jesus Christ, the Cornerstone of our faith, so that we would be able to stand firm until the end.
Worshipers
Thank you for forgiving us, loving us, freeing us, and saving us, Jesus. We love you, amen.
We Hear God’s Word

First Reading Malachi 4:1-2a
The outcome of the unrighteous is destruction, while those who revere God will be raised up
1 “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them. 2 But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.
