Description
John 18:33-37
Standing before Pilate being and being questioned about Him being the King of the Jews, Jesus explained that His kingdom is not of this world. Instead, He came to bear witness to the truth. Pilate, perplexed, asked what truth was, highlighting the contrast between worldly power and the divine truth that Jesus embodies. As Christ followers, we are called to seek and uphold the truth in our lives, reflecting Jesus’ example by standing firm in our faith and values, even when faced with challenges or opposition.

First Reading Daniel 7:10, 13-14
The prophet Daniel described a vision of a heavenly court where thousands upon thousands served before God. The book were opened for judgment. The arrival of “one like a son of man” who had been given authority, glory, and sovereign power established an everlasting kingdom that will never be destroyed.
A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The court was seated, and the books were opened. 13 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. 14 He was given authority, glory, and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
