The Greatest Story Continues-The Resurrection of Our Lord-RCL 2017

$14.99

Matthew 28:1-10

A great story has a beginning and an ending. We read books and watch movies and we know this to be true. One of the most well-known movies about the life of Jesus is “The Greatest Story Ever Told.”  It came out in 1961, and was even nominated for 5 Oscars. The movie uses the Bible, and in particular, the Gospels, as the source in order to tell the story and the story has an ending. As we examine the Gospels, none of them can really end the story of Jesus. Christ’s resurrection from the dead actually means that the story is to be continued in us as believers as we share the good news that “Christ is Risen.” Each of our lives is a story and we know that the final chapter and ending will occur. Someday, God will finish the story of His work on earth in and through Jesus Christ as God promised. In the meantime, the story of Christ continues in and through each of us as the vessels of His word, so that others may come to know Him as Lord and Savior of their lives.
