A Sense of Entitlement

$14.99

Matthew 21:33-46

It is tempting to take ownership over areas where we are entrusted with responsibilities. A true leader knows that the secret to great leadership is a servant’s heart, not an entitlement attitude. As ministers and leaders, it is imperative that we remember that we are servants of the Lord and that everything in our possession, including our ministries, belongs to the Lord. In every area of our lives where we may have been given duties and responsibilities, we should be careful to choose a servant’s heart over an attitude of entitlement. In the parable before us, the tenants fell into an entitlement mentality and out of selfish ambition, sought the son’s inheritance. When we get possessive of “our areas” of ministry, we are forgetting that it all belongs to God. It is important for all of us to occasionally step back and remember who we are, whose we are, and who we ultimately serve.
