1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
As we approach the end of the church year, the lectionary digs deep into end times proclamation. The readings today all point to a difficult end for many who do not honor or know the blessings that come with knowing the Lord. In our second reading today from Pauls letter to the Thessalonians he encourages us in the midst of the coming destruction. We have nothing to fear for our salvation comes through Jesus Christ. We are His protected ones, children of Light in an ever darkening world.
