John 4:5-26
She was just trying to get by, as we all do. She had made her share of mistakes in life, and was living with them. She made adjustments, going to the well in the heat of the day, when no one else was around. Keeping a low profile. Hiding her shame. She came to the well and would have come and gone without a word to the Israelite stranger, but Jesus didnt leave her alone. Gently, slowly, He guided her to the place she actually ran to tell the very people shed been trying to avoid that she had found the Messiah. Sin separates us, and builds walls. Jesus draws us out, makes us whole, and fills us with bubbling joy.
