Third Sunday after Pentecost

Matthew 10:5a, 21-33

Jesus gave His disciples the authority to drive out demons and heal the sick in His name.  He also warned them about the trials that they would face because of His name.  In the end, eternal life would be their reward.  It’s never easy following Christ and obeying God’s Word.  After all, sin appears to be easier and, at many times, more fun.  Sin leads to death and regrets, but the way of the Father leads to eternal life and joy.  Follow the Father who loves and knows every single detail about you- even the number of hairs on your head!
