Matthew 17:1-9
Peter, James, and John beheld quite a sight as they stood in awe watching Jesus transfigured before their very eyes while Moses and Elijah appeared next to Him. Jesus, shining like the sun, was surrounded by a bright cloud and affirmed by His Father’s voice as the true Son of God. This glimpse of glory gave the disciples a small taste of heaven and hope for their future days to come. Just as Jesus was transfigured from a human being to a glorified being, so let us be transformed from our worldly selves to the reflection of Christ’s light.
