John 1:6-8, 19-28
John himself was not the Messiah. Instead he was a radical witness to the Light who was called to prepare the hearts and minds of the people to receive the Lord Jesus. When Jesus came to this world of sin and darkness, He shined the light of salvation. Today, our duty as Christ followers is to point others to the saving light of Christ.
