As followers of Christ, it does us well to keep our eyes focused on eternity, the ultimate prize and reward when we have finished life’s journey. As believers, we have been called to reach out to others with no distinction and invite them into a relationship with Jesus Christ. We know that there can be a risk in an invitation because that invitation, even though expressed in the right spirit, can be rejected or accepted. If a person receives and accepts, the person receives Jesus. On the contrary, if rejected, the person rejects Jesus and the Father. Regardless of the response, we have shared a powerful message that points to eternity. The reward for us as pro-claimers of the message is the reminder and gift of eternal life. This is why we do what we do and while engaged in this mission, Jesus puts everything in perspective for us.
