1 Thessalonians 5:16-24

Do you know the difference between “listening” and “hearing”? We easily listen to the sound of someone’s voice and the words they are speaking. But it is without understanding. Hearing means that we comprehend and understand what is being communicated. This is why, after teaching a spiritual truth, Jesus would say, “Let you who have ears, hear.”

This morning we are reminded that we need to pay attention to hear the words of the prophets. We are to test them through the Spirit of the Lord and then we are to testify to His light! Are you ready to “hear” what the Spirit is saying or will you just be “listening”? Lord stir us up to listen up!
