Isaiah 64:1-9
Happy New Year! The church year begins in the same way it ended: waiting on the Lord. During Advent, we recall that the generation 2,000 years ago saw the fulfillment of their waiting on Christ coming, and so we, who often use their prayers, are assured that Christ will once again fulfill His promise and visit His people. In order for us to prepare for that day, we respond to the prayer we read from Isaiah today by becoming clay in the hands of our Father. May He mold us and prepare us.
