Description
John 2:1-11
What a beautiful image it is to picture the Son of God attending a wedding and performing His first miracle of transforming water into wine. It’s no coincidence that Jesus is the Bridegroom who miraculously transforms the Church, His Bride, through Himself. Look to the Lord to satisfy your every need, and trust the Spirit to transform you into His likeness.

Pastor With much excitement, we welcome you in the name of the risen Lord Jesus Christ!
ALL Risen indeed is our Savior Lord!
Opening Prayer / Theme Introduction
Pastor Beautiful Savior, we dedicate this morning to being transformed by your power. From
your first miracle as a man on earth, we learn of Your obedience to do Father God’s will.
Transform us into Your likeness.
ALL Amen!
Time of Confession and Forgiveness
[Alternate location: following Message]
Pastor Let us clear out through confession the sin that festers in our hearts. Sin is like a hideous
weed, it grows quickly, and settles roots into our hearts. It spreads and multiplies and
chokes out the life that Christ meant for us. So, let us obey the Lord and confess our sins
to Him, the forgiver and healer.
(Allow for a few minutes of silent confession)
Pastor How great it is to be loved and forgiven by the Father because of the death offering of His
Son, Jesus Christ, on our behalf.
ALL Free from sin are we! Because the Son has set us free!
Pastor Thank you, Jesus, for your forgiveness and grace.
ALL In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
We Hear God’s Word
[Read aloud both the introduction and Scripture]
First Reading Isaiah 62:1-5
The prophet Isaiah was zealous about praying for the salvation of Israel. He longed for the day that the Lord took delight in His people, rejoicing over His chosen church.
For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. 2 The nations will see your vindication, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow. 3 You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God. 4 No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be married. 5 As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.
