Luke 2:22-40
When Mary and Joseph presented 8-day old Jesus to be consecrated at the temple, a man named Simeon held Jesus and rejoiced saying, “My eyes have seen Your salvation…a light of revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people, Israel.” Anna, who had been constantly praying in the temple, began giving thanks to God and continued to speak of Him to all those who had been waiting for the promised Messiah. When Simeon and Anna saw Jesus, they recognized Him as their Redeemer, and couldn’t stop talking! If we have met Jesus, and know Him as our Redeemer, how can we keep silent? We can’t!
