1 Corinthians 12:3b-13

In the third article of the Apostles Creed, we profess our belief in the “communion of saints.” Perhaps there are those who think the communion of saints has something to do with the Lord’s Supper. It does not. Essentially, it means the same as the phrase that precedes it in the Apostles Creed – “The Holy Christian Church”. Here is a mystery. We, who are many and diverse, have a unity in the Spirit that transcends every division. Across gender, age, nationality, denominational labels, even life and death, the Spirit binds believers of Jesus into one Body – the ‘communion of saints’. Where the Gospel is proclaimed, community happens.
