The Jews were having trouble understanding the freedom that can only be found in Jesus. The truth of the Gospel frees us from the bondage to sin. We are no longer considered slaves to sin when Jesus Christ, the begotten Son of God, sets us free. Through Jesus, we are accepted into the family of God forever.

Yes, hallelujah! Let us pray together. Father who grants us freedom through Jesus Christ, we couldn’t be happier to be granted this life to live for Your glory. But we know that we are not citizens of this earth- we are eternal citizens of Heaven. Help us to live according to Your will. May Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. It is in the name of Jesus Christ who sets us free we pray,

First Reading Revelation 14:6-7
An angel of God proclaims the Gospel to every nation, tribe, language, and people declaring that God is worthy of our worship.
Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. 7 He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
