Matthew 4:1-11
Satans timing is impeccable. He slides in at just the right moment and attempts to undermine all God is doing within our lives. We see that in the temptations of Jesus, which happened immediately after His baptism, at which the Father had proclaimed, This is My Son. And now Satan was probing at just that point. If Jesus really was the Son of God, He should be able to change rocks into bread; after all thats what God had done in the desert. Satan always wants us to doubt who God proclaims us to be. And he always wants us to prove ourselves. We are the children of God! And nothing can take that from us; and we cant earn it. Its who God has proclaimed us to be.
