John 8:31-36
Jesus taught the believing Jews to know the truth that would set them free, they were perplexed. They had never been slaves to anyone; why would they need freedom? Jesus set us free from the penalty of death that sin demanded by dying on the cross for our sins so that we could be sons and daughters in the eternal family of God. On this Reformation Day, let us remember that true freedom only comes through Jesus Christ.
