Description
John 8:31-36
Jesus is teaching in the temple courts. He has stated that He is the light of the world and that both He and His Father testify to this as witnesses per Jewish law. He says He has been sent by his Father and he does exactly as he says, and he always does what pleases him. Jesus states that everyone who sins is a slave to sin, but if they hold to his teaching they will know the truth and the truth will set them free.

Opening Prayer / Theme Introduction
Pastor / Worship Leader
Heavenly Father, we praise you and thank you for your love. Your love that is so great that you sent your only Son to die for us. It is by His death alone that we are saved. It is by grace alone, through faith. Lord, we cannot possibly live up to the standard you have set. It is impossible for us to follow the law. It is by Jesus’ sacrifice, by his blood only, by his resurrection, that we can live, that we can be called children of God. We thank you Father for your love. We thank you for Jesus. Amen
Worshipers
Amen!

First Reading Jeremiah 31:31-34
The Lord promised to make a new covenant with the people of Israel. He would write His law on their hearts and be forgiven of their wickedness.
“The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. 32 It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord. 33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 34 No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
